Owning my dream car at last !

After 4 years of dreaming and 32 comments about my dream car, I am finally the proud owner of the Toyota Highlander 2010 ....

Funnily enough owning my dream car has not filled my heart with the happiness I imagined back in 2006...why is that do you reckon? is it getting old? different preoccupations? or have I still not shaken the moody clouds that have gripped me since the saddest Eid of all?

I think it's probably the latter as I have not written about it yet.

Meanwhile that SUV is causing terror on the road.

Hey Wolfie! You might remember my comments back then, but at least I gotta admit that your car has got a really cool name! BTW what happened to the rest of your post? You run out of gas? ;)

Working long hours and doing hard work does pay off in the culmination of dreams and the ability to drive in them ;)

Life has the unfair asymmetry of lack of comfort causing unhappiness, and comfort alone not being enough to bring happiness.
Let's give comfort its due. As the old joke says, money may not make me happy, but I'd prefer to weep in a Ford than in a bus.
Congratulations for your new car!

Lebeeya- it is good to see you here - dead on about the work hours :P and yes it automatic transmission.

Maya :) thank you - indeed better than taking the bus ( or the Iveco as we say here)

Salam Highlander,
Congrats on the new wheels---tear the streets up. :-)

Is it possible that the things of this world hold lesser value to you then the things out of this world? For it would seem your heart has always been connected to the human causes rather than the material causes, which in reality will bring you both greater joy and at times greater sadness. But none the less, the things of the human connection will live with you far longer.

Thanks Ibeebarbie, you're right I'm a closet idealist. You have a good eye for detail :)

Hello.
I remember the day I bought my car (it was 13 years approximate). It was a happy day. Even happier the day I pay the debt (they were weighed 5 years).
