The Power of prayer

Although this recent study seems to point out that prayer does not affect a person's recovery, I beg to differ. When you humbly, sincerely ask something from God he most certainly hears you and responds. Of course you have to know what to ask...

A week ago Highlander asked you all to pray for her , today I wish to thank you, your prayers performed a little miracle. Thanks to all those who emailed or phoned me. Special thanks to AlanK, Khadijateri, A.Adam, 7mada, Gatorbait, Redenclave, Winston, Adam , Libyan warrior, Hamed, NBA, Leilouta, Mohamed, Hale, Programmer_Craig and Trabilisia, and Twosret, especially that some of them are first time commenters.

It is these moments in time which separate true friends from passerbys, some surprised me others disapointed me. Last Sunday was the worst in my life, a routine check up turned a vacation trip into a tragedy, which was thankfully averted by the wonderful team of doctors in Amman -Jordan where I was for the last week. My heart was shattered when my mother asked us to pray for her and specifically requested from other family members to do it. I guess our mutual prayers (you and my family) did work . Thank God, thank you all you were great and God bless.

Highlander is back but still tired, blogging will be erratic...

Great to know your comeback post is good news like this, not an announcement of a sad end to the tragedy you referred to in your original request for prayers!

If ever needed again, I'm sure your readers will be back to give you more backup in thoughts, words and prayers :).

Glad your family probs are hopefully better. As for prayers I too am a great believer for only a month ago yesterday my mum had a triple by-pass.All ok if she were a younger patient and weren't in remission from colon cancer. She's 73 and I believe that if it weren't for our prayers the outcome wouldv'e been been very different. Will pray for you when in need anytime.

We all are happy for you and all yours! Seems that the powers that be are still on your side :)

And I think that you will be blogging at full power sooner than you would expect yourself...

That's really great to here, but that's life, some good days and some bad ones. The really impressing thing is that in the midst of all this, you still took some time to ask you readers for prayers. Al 7amdullellah that everything's ok.

I'm glad to know that the trouble has passed. I am not a praying person, but I do believe in energies and forces, and love. And I believe in faith. In a way, these are my Gods for I don't believe in religion- it is a dividing factor.

"Where can we go to find God if we cannot see Him in our own hearts and in every living being.” ---Swami Vivekananda.

Love & Peace.

NBA , thank you, I love all my readers and am proud of them.
Trabilsia it's nice to see you here dear. Hamdillah your mum did well on her bypass.
7mada, you are always so positive and full of energy thanks too.
Adam , yes I do have a few posts up my sleeve:).
A.Adam, yes we are a big family.
Khadijateri yes do keep praying please..
red_enclave and it's good to see you back commenting ..I've missed blogging so much.
Alank , it is very scary you are correct, I'm still scared up to now but the situation has improved so much .
Libyanwarrior , thank you for your wishes , I hope thinks work out for you as well and you find your way.
Mohamed , I took the trouble to inform my readers and ask them for help, because first I believe in sincere prayer from the heart and second I'm a very very caring person and I take these things seriously and I respect people too much by scaring them and disapearing without a trace. I'm not sure people would start a movement to locate highlander, but I know a few of my friends who actually phoned from all over the world to inquire about what happened . So keeping you guys updated is my way of saying you mean a lot to me and I respect you and myself enormously.
Barnita thanks for the poem, whether we believe in God or not I guess we are on the same wavelenght in that we have faith in some type of higher power- which you called 'energies and forces'
Muslimah , thank you and welcome to my blog.
